Michael to race in Stars of Silverstone Championship

Due to budget limitations for this season, it has been decided that the Stars of Silverstone Championship in the Formula First category will be the best option. ?Unfortunately we have been unable to secure a budget so far to compete in Formula Palmer Audi but at least this way I shall be racing competitively and gaining valuable track time so if the opportunity does arise, I?ll be ready to take full advantage of them".

Last year, Michael took part in two test sessions at Palmer Sport's Bedford Autodrome and set a best time of 1:06.578, in only his third time driving a car of any sort, the day after he passed his license test! At the end of the first test session, Mick Maggio (Championship coordinator of Formula Palmer Audi) made the following comments:
"Considering Michael's age and having never driven any form of car let alone a 300 bhp single seater race car, we were extremely impressed. His times at the end of the 2 hour test session were outstanding. On Bedford Autodrome's private test track Michael lapped in 1 min 7.190 sec. The current lap record which was set in more favourable conditions stands at 1 min 4.960 sec. Not only has Michael shown us that he has the raw speed and talent to enable him to race successfully but more importantly he showed a maturity and calm attitude which is rare to see in a young man driving a car pushing 600 bhp per tonne. We are excited at the prospect of having Michael on board. Formula Palmer Audi has seen many young drivers come through the ranks and are now successful professional racing drivers. We believe Michael has the ability and attitude to succeed and look forward to working with him".
