Solid return to FPA for Broadhurst in testing
After nearly a year since he was last in the cockpit of an FPA (Formula Palmer Audi) car, Michael made a fantastic return to the Bedford Autodrome. On a circuit configuration that he had not seen before, Michael was quickly on the pace, consistently cutting time off the lap times. "The circuit was great fun, with some really quick and technical sections; it has everything!" The FPA team were extremely impressed by the way that Michael conducted himself during the test session and his driving technique.
A gear linkage failure meant that track time was lost but Michael managed keep his composure and posted his fastest time of the day with a 1:44.060 on his last flying lap! "I was frustrated not to have broken into the 43s as a small lock-up in one of the slower corners cost me time. However I think we had a very productive day and showed that I have the pace to be competitive in the championship. "Michael did an incredible job today and once again exceeded our expectations of him and the benchmark times that we had set. To be one second off the best time of the day, set be Stuart Prior who is currently 3rd in he championship is outstanding. We hope we can have Michael on board for Silverstone in August".
